But that makes me love it even more. It's the kind of ring I can wear on a strenuous hike, straight up a mountain, in Boulder. So what if it gets scratched. That's what re-dipping every few years is for, right?
Before the hike, I had a lovely picnic lunch with one of my good friends, her husband, and their new baby, Kyla. I noticed that my friend only wore a wedding band, not her engagement ring. I asked her about it and she explained that she stopped wearing her engagement ring after she had the baby because it got caught on things and could easily scratch the baby.
It made me extra thankful for my practical, almost flat, baby-friendly ring.
