Hooray!
Connecticut has joined the ranks of California and Massachusetts in the quest to truly ensure "liberty and justice for all." Same-sex marriage is now legal, according to this article.
Woo-hoo!
The legal director at the National Center for Lesbian Rights in San Francisco said, "Treating families differently is just fundamentally unfair and harmful to those families, and harmful to our whole society. That point came through so clearly in the Connecticut decision."
Marriage is about commitment, perseverance, resilience, patience, fun, passion, compassion, comfort, love--not a couple's genitalia.
I'm doing a happy dance for reason, rationality, and empathy.
