2000 Dollar Wedding on TV
Matt and I were fortunate to have the opportunity to tell our wedding story on KIAH-TV Channel 39.
Yolanda and her amazing videographer and intern came to our house a couple weeks ago to chat about our wedding. They were so friendly and fun!
I'm so glad that eco-friendliness and budget-mindedness values are being spotlighted and celebrated in our society these days.
Some behind-the-scenes info: When we sat on the love seat on our front porch for the interview, we realized the rain had completed soaked it the day before. We did the whole interview with water seeping into our pants. After our chat, the videographer wanted to get some shots of us walking down the street, but I had to kindly alert him that he couldn't take any shots from behind, due to the immense wet spots that had spread across our entire rumproasts.

So cool!
Very exciting! I am so stoked that your wedding is getting out there. You have been a big inspiration to me in planning (of which we still have a lot left!)
Thanks :)

Worlds collide:
I found your blog after going to a couple of your seminars at TFA/KIPP. I googled your name in hopes of finding your resources online (which I found, thanks to your ed blog).
Anyway, I stumbled across this blog and got hooked. I am not engaged, but I enjoyed following your story and share similar environmental concerns. I have recommended your blog to engaged friends.
I read that Matt grew up in Bloomington, IN, which is where my boyfriend grew up, but I never thought to ask Chris if he knew Matt. (Not wanting to admit to my boyfriend that I was reading wedding sites may have been part of it.:))
Fast forward a couple of months, and after watching this clip, (and my boyfriend knows I read a wedding blog), he recognizes Matt from Bloomington. Apparently, their dads work together!
Small world...
Very cool!
that's so awesome!
awesome! do you mind if i put the video + a link to your blog on mine tomorrow (since I blog about weddings on the weekends)? this is too cool not to share! thanks!
I like that she emphasized that there are different shades of green. A wedding should be about making the day fun and personal. Looks like it was a fun wedding too. I wish I could have gone.
