Unique and Interesting Wedding Ceremony Scripts

I added a couple more wedding ceremony scripts to the list of inspiration. Enjoy!

----------------------------------------

An e-mail from a 2000dollarwedding kindred spirit gave me the idea to create a resource list of unique and interesting wedding ceremony scripts. Creating your own (or even revising one provided by your officiant) can be a daunting task. A little inspiration can go a long way. I'll add to this list as links are mentioned in the comments section. Please, help a girl out! I had trouble finding a lot. If you want to e-mail me your script and have me upload it and link to it or if you've seen other awesome scripts posted on the internet, let me know!
  1. Sara & Matt of 2000 Dollar Wedding
  2. Ariel & Andreas of Offbeat Bride
  3. Kat & Justin of Weddingbee
  4. Jen & Shell
  5. Peonies & The Boy of Peonies and Polaroids
  6. Katie & Paul of A Backyard Wedding
  7. Hope & Ben of hippie dippie bebe
  8. Katie & Katie
  9. Nina & Justin
  10. September and Will of Party of Six

Thank you! We're getting married in 8 days and still haven't sorted out the ceremony script - oops! Time to get to work with these in mind...

Hey.. I get married in 8 days too and we've also just started working on this. That is neat. :)

These are great resources though, you're rad for putting them up, thanks!

Thanks Sara! My stepdad (our officiant) just called yesterday and asked me what kind of ceremony we wanted. There was a long pause and then he laughed and said he would get some ideas together to send me. Now I have some to send him!

My husband and I budgeted $3000 for our wedding and came in way under budget. We posted the full script of our wedding on our wedding website:
www.mywedding.com/TomAndRebecca

We didn't live together while planning our wedding so we used Google Doc and Skype to work together to write the whole ceremony. It was a lot of work but was such an important part of the big day for us. I hope your readers find it helpful!

Thanks so much for this list of scripts! You're 100% correct when you say it's a daunting task. We're trying to work in my religious beliefs, his non-religious beliefs and everything in between so these scripts provide some desperately needed inspiration! Thanks again!

As we were writing our ceremony, we met with a family friend who is a pastor who gave us the nicest idea. He called it an "acronym of marriage". Basically, take the place you are getting married, use the letters to come up with adjectives that are important to your marriage. Use it as something to reflect on in times of joy and crisis. We had a destination wedding in Stanley, ID located in the Sawtooth Mountain range. Using S-A-W-T-O-O-T-H we came up with selflessness, alliance, wisdom, trust, openness, opaque, temptation, and hope. We described why each word is important and relative. We wrote this but had our officiant deliver it in homily form. It was a big hit with our guests but will always be important to us.

Thanks so much for providing these great scripts. We are working on our own ceremony and it's nice just to get a little inspiration and direction. I'll be posting my friends vows on my blog Bridalhood.blogspot.com - hopefully sometime this week and you are welcome to link to those as well.
