Anna had a brilliant idea after hosting a giveaway of her dress two weeks ago. Why give it to one person when everyone could use it?
As for Jennie, she decided to give her dress to Michelle who said:
I would like to be considered to win this beautiful dress because I am in need of a wedding dress that will fit into my wheel chair. When I first got engaged I bought a big huge pouffy dress. I never got to wear it because my leukemia relapsed months before our wedding. I am left with a lot of nerve damage that has resulted in me being wheel chair bound. I need a new dress with a slimmer body and your dress is perfect. Thank you for your consideration!
Michelle, please e-mail me so I can put you in touch with Jennie!
Thanks again, Jennie and Anna, for hosting a giveaway, and thanks to everyone else for being such an awesome community! And don't forget there's still time to enter to win Erica's dress...

P.S. There are 6 days left to secure your spot in the next Purposeful Conception Course: Preparing Your Mind, Body, and Life for Pregnancy! Based on feedback from the last course, it seems like it's better to enroll earlier rather than later in the pre-conception process. Let me know if you have any questions!

Not cool. I know you don't mean it that way, but this is not cool. Not only has APW been doing "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Dress" for the last two years, and using that name for the last year, we've even gotten mainstream press about the project under this name, at that.
I know you're trying to perpetuate awesome, and I'm hugly in favor of that. But, that said, you gotta do your own awesome. Maybe you can re-think and re-tool this, and come up with something that is a great match for your site. Email me if you want to talk more.

GREAT idea, share the dress..so much more meaningful than trash it and what not! Sisterhood is a great idea.
What a wonderful idea! I've never heard it before and it's so cool to be able to see a dress get so many uses!
I think the first commenter mistook the post as if Sara was trying to mimic their idea. The blog title came from a concept drawn from a popular movie. I doubt it was intended to be so controversial. Besides, privately contacting Sara would be a nicer way to get your point across and probably more effective.
Unfortunately, I can't share the link to this post on facebook because the 'blurb' that shows up with it is the first commenter's commment, rather than the blog post itself. Sad :(
wow! what a great idea... once i finally find a dress i would love to do this!! i will keep this in mind and somehow get connected through here, if that's okay!! =) thanks for posting/sharing this!!!
much love!
Sara - This is wonderful for you to arrange for your reader. I'm so glad you're helping with this and it would be great if others would too!
Meg - taking the name and concept from a mainstream movie is hardly doing "your own awesome". If you don't want people to come up with the same thing, you might want to be a bit more original yourself.
That said, this is the sort of awesome that EVERYONE should be encouraged to copy. You should be applauding Sara for stepping up and helping the world have more awesome.
And when I say it's hardly doing "your own awesome"...I by no means mean it's not awesome...you should definitely keep it up, because it's great. But it's not your unique idea when there's a major motion picture that originated both the name and the concept.
